World's Fastest Car Going Green

One doesn't necessarily associate green cars with incredible speed, but Shelby SuperCars is about to change all that.

The company plans to unveil and world's fastest car powered by a 500 horsepower electric motor in 2009.

The Ultimate Aero EV (Electric Vehicle) predecessor Ultimate Aero broke the "World's Fastest Production Car" record in the summer of 2007.

The new Shelby SuperCar project is backed by private capital, including celebrities and notable financiers from around the world.
